Cycling on rough Icelandic roads is becoming an increasingly popular sport. In the capital area one can take a mountain-biking tour through the pristine beauty of the volcanically-active lava-covered Reykjanes Penisula. The tour begins at the bus terminal in downtown Hafnarfjordur, and the final destination is at the Blue Lagoon some 6 hours and 51km later.
