Hveragerði

Geothermal wonder and greenhouse-town

Hveragerði, about 45 km southeast of Reykjavík, is a horticultural town, that uses geothermal energy to heat up a multitude of greenhouses. Conveniently located on Route 1, the Ring Road, Hveragerði also has good bus services with scheduled buses operating from the BSÍ bus terminal in Reykjavík several times a day.
