Founded in 1930 and situated in Reykjanesbaer, SBK Inc. is the oldest passenger travel company in Iceland. At its outset SBK concentrated on scheduled routes in the southwest of the country, and between Keflavík and the area surrounding the capital, Reykjavík. Recent years have seen considerable growth within the company, with a consequent diversification of activities. In addition to coaches and scheduled bus services, SBK now operates a travel agency and a car rental.

At SBK, the safety and comfort of our passengers are paramount. This is why all our coaches are equipped with seatbelts and air-conditioning, adjustable seats, CD-players, VCRs and a refrigerator. We can also provide coaches with toilet facilities and karaoke equipment. SBK coaches are new models with luxury facilities and are all fitted with environmentally friendly Euro 3 engines. SBK strives continually for quality within the company.


SBK Travel
In order to serve the needs of our customers better we now run our own travel agency. In operation since 2001, SBK Travel organises trips for individuals, companies and groups.


Car rental
SBK car rental was established in 1999. We supply a variety of new cars, all well suited to Icelandic conditions, ranging from smaller 2-door cars such as the Toyota Yaris, to the 15-seater Ford Econoline. If desired, SBK can offer assistance with travel organisation and bookings. Car pick-up and return is at Keflavík, Reykjavík or at the Leif Eiríksson International Airport. SBK's main office in Reykjanesbaer is only a 5-minute drive from the international airport.
