Thorisstadir is located near a lake, called Thorisvatn (about 4 km. from Ferstikla – 70 km. from Reykjavik). This is a great place for fishing. Many memorable and wonderful hours have been spent at the lake, for young and old alike. Permits are available on site.

Thorisstadir also has a pleasant 9-hole family golf course and a putting course available. Golf sets for rent, reasonable green-fees, and pleasant indoor facilities for eating and freshening up. If you need a place for a gathering or party of any sort, our place is available for rent.

Near the lake, there is a nice area for pitching a tent, or parking a camper-van. The area has a reasonable play area for young children, and a larger area for football or games, and necessary WC facilities.

Close to other service centres, such as a swimming pool and shop, Thorisstadir is the ideal place for an overnight stay or two, in perfectly tranquil, yet interesting and natural surroundings.
