GENTLE GIANTS  are located in Húsavík -  Iceland.
In the year of 2001 -  11 individuals from Husavik with a vast experience of running other privately owned companies in various fields of Activity & Business, decided to establish a new company in the tourist business in Husavik. The company purchased an old wooden oak-boat which had originally been built as a fishing- and whale-hunting boat. 

They decided to renew and restore it for the purpose of transporting/sailing, visitors to Husavik, around the Skjalfandi Bay in search for whales - not for hunting but for watching. A lot of effort was put into it and it made a great success, especially among our visitors.  Ever since the company has been a successful one and had a great staff to rely on and its amount of customers has been rapidly increasing, year by year. 

In January 2004 - the company undertook some strategic changes due to its growth the past years and new shareholders & board members joined the company.  Marketing structure and management changes with new people increased numbers of passengers by 50% in season 2004 from year before. 

The company faces a bright future, aiming on doing the best possible each year for our customers and willing to share its great experienced & fully licensed staff with you.

To find us is easy, our Ticket Centre is conveniently located in the centre of Húsavík, next to Salka restaurant - our cooperator, and overlooking the bay.  We have set up a little terrace where you can enjoy your lunch and relax.  We also offer high speed internet connection (HOT SPOT), for those travelling with their own computer, free of charge for our customers.
