Transportation to Iceland by Air
Flying is the most common way of travelling to Iceland. The majority of international flights arrive at Keflavík International Airport, which is about 40 minutes from Reykjavík. From time to time there are also services to and from Akureyri and Egilsstaðir.

Iceland Express organizes and manages daily scheduled flights between Iceland, Germany, Denmark, UK, Sweden and Spain. They offer low fare flights to and from Iceland on these routes – without any length-of-stay restrictions. Low operational costs allow the company to offer more economical fares than previously available, while still returning a satisfactory profit margin. The travel agency license for the Sales Office is issued to Reykjavík Express, which is a subsidiary of Iceland Express. Flight operations are handled for Iceland Express by Astraeus, a British air carrier operator.
